I I have managed a report on the proposal regarding Aurors and Unforgivables, which I can certainly deliver to yourself or the Inner Circle as you see fit.
There is a preliminary debate on the topic slated for March 21st. |

I hope the moon is treating everyone well. This mandated curfew is almost refreshing for the enforced relaxation it is providing.
But, I was thinking. All of this madness regarding domestic animals has brought me to the realisation that I've never actually had a pet in the proper sense. Horses, of course, estate animals. I rented an elephant once. But Fa But I have always felt dogs have the potential to be far too messy in an historic estate such as Malfoy Manor. So, unless you count the peacocks:
( wave wand for picture )
and they are really more of a folly, I suppose I've not had a pet with which to broach this terrifyingly complicated issue of animal rights versus fashion.
But, I suppose, on behalf of my flock, I must agree, even as a folly, they would look rather ridiculous in a cap and gown.
[Added shortly thereafter]
My wife reminds me that we have a cat. How silly of me to forget. |

Is anyone else growing decidedly bored with Le Sorcier Affamé? Diagon Alley is just not what it used to be. |

If we are progressing from proverbs to poetry, I may be equipped to follow suit. I came across a old poem this evening that rather struck me.
O! that you were your self; but, love, you are No longer yours, than you your self here live: Against this coming end you should prepare, And your sweet semblance to some other give: So should that beauty which you hold in lease Find no determination; then you were Yourself again, after yourself's decease, When your sweet issue your sweet form should bear. Who lets so fair a house fall to decay, Which husbandry in honour might uphold, Against the stormy gusts of winter's day And barren rage of death's eternal cold? O! none but unthrifts. Dear my love, you know, You had a father: let your son say so. ( warded privately ) |

This has been a horridly busy week at the Ministry as I am certain any of my colleagues will support. It is commendable the hours some have been pulling of late. Perhaps they are putting something in the coffee. That said, I could not be happier for the weekend. As much as the Ministry shoulders a near sacrosanct duty to the people, I, like any other man, would very much like to spend the odd evening at home with my wife. I am certain this paperwork will be waiting for me when I return on Sunday.
